I finally get it. It all comes down to feelings… and living them out fully. I have been listening to Gregg Braden, author and speaker, on You Tube. He has very interesting points and speaks about the traditions of the indigenous people. He talks a bit about technology and its place in evolving human consciousness. He also speaks about feelings. He mentions that it is important to not want things… but rather to feel as though it has already happened. Here are two You Tube videos of Gregg Braden…
I just realized that when people want things, it is not the thing that they truly want. It is actually the feeling they get when they get what they want. This is what Gregg Braden is saying. His lectures stress this and he indicates throughout his interviews that it is our feelings that create our life experience. This is true.
Feelings are the only things that are identical in experience from one person to another. Happiness is happiness, no matter who is experiencing it. Same for anger. Anger is anger regardless of who you are. The only things that differentiates from person to person is their reaction to the feeling. A person’s actions when experiencing happiness or any other feeling, is personal.
Here is a list of some possible feelings. I have put this together because my exercise is to identify other people’s feelings to better communicate and relate to them…
