What exactly is synchronicity?
According to one online dictionary it is the simultaneous occurrence of events that appear significantly related but have no discernible causal connection. Though as I have recently discovered, there can be a discernible causal connection… you, the interpreter.
Another online dictionary describes synchronicity as being a coincidence of events that seem to be meaningfully related. That said, they are no longer coincidences then, no?
Let’s examine what a coincidence is…
One online dictionary states that it is a remarkable concurrence of events or circumstances without apparent causal connection.
A second online dictionary coins it differently by saying it is a striking occurrence of two or more events at one time apparently by mere chance.
I understand this not because of what the words say but because of personal experience. I say synchronicity is when the coincidences are occurring in insurmountable amounts for a long period of time. The feeling that this generates is overwhelming and can make your stomach queasy and your mind bewildered. The feeling is one that lifts your heart like when riding a roller coaster. Or maybe you can understand it when I say butterflies in the stomach, and lots of them fluttering very quickly all over the place!
